Little Learners​ Program

 

Sci-Port Discovery Center and Shreve Memorial Libraries are partnering to bring you and your young
learner literacy connected fun and hands-on science all summer long!

 

 

 

Program Information

  • Held at Sci-Port Discovery Center
  • Every Thursday through July 31, 2021
  • 10 a.m.
  • Ages 2-5 years only (or age level equivalency)
  • Free with General Admission ($15/person* 1 year and up, free for Members)

Program Titles & Descriptions

 

July 8th – One Fish, Two Fish
Explore the world of matching and sets and the colors red and blue during this day of fun activities.
Dr. Seuss’s One Fish, Two Fish will help get us in the mood.

July 15th – Tasty Picasso Painting
Paint a picture with paint you can sink your teeth into! The story Monsters Love Colors by Mike Austin will help to get the
colors moving.

July 22nd – Toddler Tunes
Have fun exploring different instruments including drums, shakers, cymbals, and more.  Little Learners will make their own
instrument and have a noise parade after the story, Squeak, Rumble, Whomp! Whomp! Whomp! By Wynton Marsalis and Paul
Rogers.

July 29th – Itty Bitty Yoga
Learn yoga poses with your child while learning all about movement! Yoga teaches balance, promotes flexibility, and shows
children how to breathe to stay calm and relaxed. The story Yoga Frog by Nora Carpenter will get us ready to move.
