* 1 teacher or school staff person receives free admission per 10 students. This is good for up to 12 total teachers/school staff. Additional teachers/school staff will be charged the student rate.

** Documentary Films are the traditional/educational films lasting ~45 minutes (such as Ancient Caves, Super Power Dogs, etc.).

*** Feature Films include blockbuster movies (such as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Avatar, etc.) and can be specifically booked. Please speak with our registrar to discuss booking.

Changing Exhibitions include SnoPort, GamePort, Be the Astronaut, etc.


Payment Policies

  • One week notice is requested for cancellations. Cancellations with less notice incur a $40 administrative fee. Weather-related cancellations are the exception and will be rescheduled at no extra charge.
  • When arriving, have your money combined into one group payment (including student and chaperone fees) and designate a representative to make that payment at the Visitor Services desk. Sci-Port prefers school checks made out to “Red River STEM” but also accepts major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) or cash. No envelopes with loose change, please.

Sci-Port’s programs are easily integrated into the learning cycle. They may be used as discovery and introduction to concepts, in concept formation, or as part of the analysis and evaluation part of a lesson. In an effort to assist you in meeting your curriculum needs, all demonstrations have been aligned to LSSs.

  • Programs normally take place between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.


It’s education that is truly out of this world! Programming covers a variety of subject matter within Earth and Space Science, Astronomy, and Physics. Feel like you’re headed on an intergalactic voyage with the 16-million pixel laser projection system.

IMAX® Films

IMAX® with Laser delivers stunning images and heart-pounding audio on the biggest screens for the world’s most immersive cinematic experience yet. The 4k laser projection system is equipped with IMAX® technologies capable of filling the whole dome screen with maximum resolution and sharpness, unparalleled brightness, industry-leading contrast, and an expanded color gamut.

Lunch Options

Bring Your Own! Guests may bring their own lunch. Depending on availability, visitor may use the café seating area, outside seating around Sci-Port, or find seating across the street on the riverfront. Sci-Port will try to accommodate guests in the case of inclement weather. Inside lunchroom seating is reserved for groups ordering from our partner, A Stones Throw’s Café.

  • 15 person minimum required per order.
  • Entrée will be the same for the entire group with the exception of special needs.
  • Lunch packages must be ordered at least 50 days before your visit and final count changes must be received within 43 days of your visit.
  • Please contact Rachel Ginsburg at least 4 days in advance if your order changes by five or more students.
  • Payment for lunch orders is separate from your payment to Sci-Port. Checks should be made out to Rachel Ginsburg.
  • Price is $6.00/lunch and each lunch includes 1 Entrée, 2 Sides, and bottled water. Price includes tax. Note: All prices and menu items are subject to change.
    • Entrée Choices: Hamburger, Hot Dog, Pizza (cheese and/or pepperoni), Fried Chicken Sandwich
    • Side Choices: Assorted Chips, Fresh Fruit Cup, Veggies with Ranch, Cookie, Brownie
