Power of Play (PoP) Children’s Museum
Did You Know?
The six basic parts of plants are fruits, stems, roots, leaves, flowers, and seeds.
PoP provides a fun and educational environment for children from birth to 2nd grade. Children can visualize themselves as problem solvers and innovators in a kid-sized version of Shreveport-Bossier City. Play is the work of childhood, and the power of constructive play helps children discover the world around them!
The activities and demonstrations in this space are aligned with Early Learner Development Standards (ELDS) and Grade Level Expectations (GLE) from birth through 2nd grade. PoP is a place for play, but it’s also a place for learning. PoP’s exhibits are science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) related and allow kids to explore a mirror-image of their caregivers’ world with childlike imagination and wonder. The experiences kids discover at PoP will not only make lasting, fun memories, but also pave the way for future academic success.
