SUMMARY:Sketching the Wild
DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to announce a special arts-and-science collaboration! Sci-Port Discovery Center\, in partnership with the Shreveport Regional Arts Council\, will present Sketching the Wild — a juried gallery exhibition coming to Artspace in downtown Shreveport. \nThe exhibition will be on display April 11–May 22\, 2026\, with an opening reception on Saturday\, April 11 from 5:30–7:00 PM. \nThis exhibition is part of a larger celebration of science illustration happening across our community\, coinciding with Natural Histories: 400 Years of Scientific Illustration\, a temporary exhibition opening March 11 at Sci-Port that explores the beauty\, history\, and impact of scientific illustration through collaborations with regional and national partners. \nCall for Artists — Submissions Now Open\nWe are currently accepting artwork submissions for Sketching the Wild. There is no cost to enter\, and all entries will go through a juried review process.
