A message from Pyxis Partners about the All of Us Research Program.
All of Us is a national effort that aims to build the largest most diverse database of health information of its kind that researchers can use to study health and illness. We want to support researchers in efforts to understand how different genetic, lifestyle, and environmental factors impact health and disease. With this information, researchers can look to improve the ways to diagnose, prevent, and treat health conditions. This could lead to improved health for generations to come. We hope that one million or more people will join the All of Us Research Program. People who join will share information about their health, habits, and what it’s like where they live. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) runs the All of Us Research Program. Learn more about our partners on our website: https://www.nih.gov/AllofUs-research-program/program-components.

Zoom Outreach – All of Us/Strawberry DNA isolation
Friday, October 22⋅11:00am – 12:00pm
Supported by the National Institutes of Health “All of Us” Research Program, this demonstration will also provide handouts and a short video about the All of Us Research Program, which focuses on how different people are unique (just like DNA) and the need for precision medicine. The STEM Learning Goal is to learn how to isolate DNA from strawberry powder, understand what DNA means, and get a blob or string of DNA out of the strawberry powder.
